The Journal
Jolie Bonnette is a journal about the choices around art at home: finding a print, understanding its materials, placing it in a room and giving it to someone else.
A detail at a time
The articles start with a specific decision, such as the outside size of a frame or the photographs an illustrator needs. Room arrangements are suggestions to test in your own space. They are not fixed rules about taste.
Material and care articles distinguish ordinary decorating decisions from work that belongs with a framer or conservator. Product instructions and the condition of an individual artwork still matter.
Images and examples
Photographs show rooms, materials or subjects discussed in the articles. Diagrams illustrate arrangements and measurements; they are not product specifications. An image is an example, not evidence that the journal has tested or owns a featured object.
Corrections and questions
Send the article address and the detail you would like to discuss through the Contact page. The journal does not take commissions, sell artwork or provide valuations.
