This image was created specifically for merchandise in
my Cafe Press store. I'm going to offer it with various sayings on it and
just as is on a lot of different merchandise.
Unfortunately, I finished this one pretty quickly
over a couple of days and didn't take much in the way of images of it as a
work in progress. What I do have has such a gap in between that it's not
worth dedicating a page to. I'll just keep those as ownership proof should I
need it later. The piece was first mocked up using the SS Lovey
Bear model in DAZ|Studio along with hat and broom props. That original
stage is pretty ugly as it was mostly flat grey, had no fur textures, had no
decent shading or texture on the broom or hat and had these ugly eyes that
looked like lumps of black, shiny metal. I just wanted it as a light test
and quick layout. I then took that digital "sketch" and, after a few
adjustments to fix the hat so it looked right, began to paint it in layers.
I think my very favorite part of this piece is the glass eyes, particularly
the one on the right. I think I managed to represent that weird depth with
folded aluminum foil thing that stuffed animal eyes can have fairly well, so
I'm proud of that eye, dangit.
