Shriek
The first clue that there was about to be trouble was that crawly prickling feeling on the back of my neck. The second was the rippling of the air which was followed by a deafening "WHUMP!" as space and time were ripped asunder to open a portal. In a blink, it was there, swooping towards us with a feral shriek. It was a demonic looking thing that reeked of sulfur and decay. But I was ready for it, magickal energy building for a discharge and firearm in hand.... ***************************** I used a stock photo as reference for this piece. It was hand painted in Paint Shop Pro 9. Not one of my better pieces, but it still has some fans. Feel free to visit the photographer's gallery on Deviant Art.
