This one is sort of tied in with Oberon, Titania and that whole Midsummer
Night's Dream fascination of mine. A jolly little satyr capering through the
woods done with Paintshop Pro 6 from an original ink design. It spanned five
layers during its original construction. I was having an awful time getting
the background to look the way I wanted it. I ended up having to apply
effects via transparent layers to get it to do what I wanted. After much
hand painting, color pushing, adjusting and frustration, I finally got the
effect I was after. The forest is a mix of original photography,
texturing and fiddling with various brushes and functions.
