Phenomenal Women Of The Web

Fire Horse

This piece was inspired by a strange bit of prose that popped into my head: "And the beast sprang from the anvil of the cosmos, all fiery grace and power. It became the symbol of hope and victory to all warriors who saw it." Originally a pen and ink gone digital using Paint Shop Pro 6. While I like the concept for the piece, I'm not thrilled with the execution. This was done during the period where I first seriously started doing digital painting (before I got my graphics tablet)  and was working with a mouse. I didn't have the full concept of how to work with the tools yet, so the work was rough at best. I may have to go back some time and try again for better execution. The piece does currently reside in my "rework" folder.
