Phenomenal Women Of The Web

Cirque Du Nuit: The Mummer

His name had long been forgotten though it was his face which haunted the dreams of many a visitor to Cirque du Nuit. They would not forget that face, so blank-eyed yet clearly tortured, his mouth dripping the blood of the one who had raised him to dance for our amusement upon his stilts.

*****************************

Around mid-March I got a hold of some nice black art paper and my brain decided to go on a bender and do something more horror oriented. Somehow, after some bouncing around, it clung onto the idea of a horrifying circus and the tortured (and sometimes evil) souls who perform in it. Thus, Cirque du Nuit (The Night Circus) was conceived. The first piece turned out to be a zombie-like mummer, skin grey against his colorful costume.
